Did you just get your braces on? If so, congrats! You’re on the road to a beautiful smile. It is going to be worth it!

The day after braces are put on (or sometimes when you get an adjustment from Dr. Bader), you teeth might get sore. It might be hard to eat some solid foods, but rest assure, this is a short term issue.

Smoothies are great for a situation where your teeth might be sore. At Faces Orthodontics, we decided to find some classic recipes to share with our patients!

Strawberry Banana Smoothie:

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 fresh banana, peeled
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey (if you want it a little sweeter!)

Directions: Add all ingredients to a blender, and pulse until combined. Serve immediately.

The Green Monster Smoothie:

  • 1 cup spinach fresh
  • 1 cup water
  • .5 cup pineapple*
  • .5 cup mango*
  • 1 banana peeled

Directions: Add all ingredients to a blender, and pulse until combined. Serve immediately.
